Heritage Museum OC
The Heritage Museum of Orange County is a charming weekend excursion to take with friends and family. Here you will find the Kellogg House and the Maag Farmhouse - two historically preserved/restored buildings.
The museum grounds consist of many activities and sights to see, such as: citrus groves, historically preserved buildings, a blacksmith shop, walking trails, and a gazebo that apparently gets booked quite regularly for weddings.
The Kellogg House | Built in 1898
The Maag Farmhouse | Built in 1899
The interior of the Maag Farmhouse was unfortunately not open to the public, as it is undergoing restorations. However, I was able to appreciate its beauty from the exterior! I definitely plan to visit back once the interior of this building is fully restored.
The blacksmith shop is fully operational, which filled the surrounding area with a distinct industrial scent of molten iron.
